Creative Direction and Design
Who are you to the CBB?

” I am one of three founding partners concerned with institutional culture reform. I am the creative with a focus on creative direction, design and development. “

What about the last 5 years has brought you to the creation of CBB?

My work as project officer for the office of equity and institutional culture alongside my involvement in Fees Must Fall movement at Rhodes University prompted an interest in the practicalities of ideological reform. Personal experiences in the academic field as both student and staff sparked an interest in how to converge abstract theories with everyday practice as well as design and development tangible and humane methodologies.. What does it look like to make the abstract a reality?

Who are you to yourself?

A creative mind concerned with a livable world.

Institutional Culture reform, Diagnostics: Leadership, Strategy and Ethics
Who are you to the CBB?

” I am one of three founding partners concerned with institutional culture reform. I specialise in diagnostics; with a focus on leadership, ethics and strategy. “

What about the last 5 years has brought you to the creation of CBB?

If I had to tell the last five years in moments it would be leaving university and sitting with the question of what it is I want to do in the world. The FessMustFall movement was an important turning point for me in understanding the heart and care required in building humane systems. My experiences of being both a student and a support staff member at a university and my transition from an academic institution into the corporate space highlighted the tensions and contradictions between the institutional and cultural ambitions versus institutional and cultural practices.

Who are you to yourself?

I am a love student & teacher. I care a lot about what love looks like in the world. I care especially about how we can move to a more loving version of ourselves as individuals and as communities.

Institutional culture reform, Reconstruction: Pedagogy and Curriculum
Who are you to the CBB?

” I am one of three founding partners concerned with institutional culture reform. My interests are in curriculum and pedagogical reconstruction in schools and higher education. I explore what benefits of collaborative curriculum reform are in the current context. “

What about the last 5 years has brought you to the creation of CBB?

My work as a high school teacher and now as a teacher educator in higher education has left me with many questions about the purpose of education and schools in the current climate. I have been involved in creating content and facilitating conversation space for young people in schools in response to the questions and stifling institutional cultures which schools perpetuate. I am interested in education as an endeavour as opposed to a project.

Who are you to yourself?

I am a co-creator in knowledge growth.

We are interested in working with individuals, teams, and organizations, who not only want to increase the reach of their own cultures but who are equally prepared to do the structural and ideological work required to realize this.
